Puddle (College)

Lost and alone
Thrown out to sea
To fend for myself
In all this uncertainty

Fighting the current
My body, it strains
To get out of this whirlwind
Things all look the same

The rain coming down
Skewing my view
I can’t see a way out
I can’t pull through

Appearing in front of me
He calls my name
Holding out his hand
In this pouring rain

Taking it, I trust
He knows the way
Through this whirlwind of doubt
I’m so afraid

You prevail and step through the veil
That has clouded my view
That has clouded the trail

Whirlwind behind
Now with Your hand in mine
I see it was only a puddle
On the street of time

Cristina, that is beautiful poetry! I love your portrayal of the humble reliance on God that is so necessary in our every day lives.
