Dry and Barren

Worn out and consumed
By things that don’t matter
Burnt out on school
Burnt out on always giving, giving, giving
And never receiving anything back
Giving all my encouragement
Giving all my time and energy
Where are the results of my work?
The fruits of my labor?

Where do I go from here?
I’m lost, feeling all ALONE

Trying so hard to be perfect and its not working
And its not required, I know
But I can’t seem to convince myself of that

Relying on encouragement
Those that are random, short
But mean the world
